Article 6
The logging ban compensation issued pursuant to this Act is as follows:
- NT$20,000 per hectare in 2016.
- NT$30,000 per hectare per year starting 2017.
- NT$60,000 per hectare per year starting 2025.
For areas smaller than one hectare, the compensation specified in the preceding paragraph shall be prorated based on the actual area size, rounded to four decimal places.
The compensation specified in Paragraph 1 shall be adjusted every two years starting in 2025 by the central competent authority based on the consumer price index growth rate (obtained by comparing the consumer price index of the current year to that of the
year before the last adjustment was made) published by the central accounting authority. However, no adjustments shall be made if the growth rate is zero or negative.
